Can I hook up two wireless routers on the same land?

I was wondering if it was possible to hook up a second router on the same land as the first. I live in a trailer on my parents land and it's outside the range of the first wireless router so I've been trying to search around for something to do. I've read about wireless extenders or repeaters but do not want the degraded quality they offer because my primary use will be Xbox live. If you have any ideas or experience with a good wireless repeater/extender please let me know. By the way I have connection on my laptop but it's very low/low. It's about 150 feet away from the wireless router. The Xbox 360 Slim's internal wifi card is not strong enough to reach.
