Ipod touch 4g wifi problems?

so i have an ipod touch 4g and when i try to connect to my wifi (2wire) it displays full bars but when i connect it is constantly going off and on. For 5 seconds i have wifi, for the next 5 seconds i dont and so on. tried all resets, purchased, wireless repeater, manually typed in in IP address, the only place in my house that i don't have WiFi is this one particular half of my room, constantly, even with a repeater in my room 5 feet away , it always flickers on and off, on and off; never a solid full bar connection. its like theirs an invisible wall with WiFi repellant sprayed all over it, its soooo damn annoying
