How do you make a wireless router repeater?

I have a WRT54G2 which is my normal router and then I have a WRT54GS2 that I want to make my repeater. Can someone please explain to me how I can go by doing this? I was reading that there is a wrong way of doing this that could break it so I want to avoid that. Thank you in advance!
