How can I boost my cell phone signal?

Ok so I have an android phone, cricket service, and I get little to no signal in my house. I know its my house blocking the reception cause i step outside and get good reception. I go a little down the street and its awesome reception. I need a cheap way of channeling signal iinto my house. Im not spending 100's of dollars on those signal repeater or amplifier thingys like those wilson models. I need some ideas even if i need to make an anntena out of foil or something. As many answers as possible would be great. Thank you.
