Can I use a Wireless router with a powerline adapter?

I know that you can get powerline adapters with wireless. I also know that you can use a wireless router as a repeater for the wireless network. But can you repeat that network through a powerline adapter? If so will you also be able to connect to the Ethernet ports at the back? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
