How do I setup a Netgear WNR2000 v2 as a wired repeater?

I found 27,000 sites explaining how to set up a repeater, but none of them are exactly what I'm dealing with. I have a Netgear CG814WG v2 wireless router/modem combo already set up. Then I have a WNR2000 v2 wireless router (with repeater mode). I want to run a cable from the first router to the second router and use the second router to boost the signal. Can I do this? If so, what exactly do I need to do? Other explanations talk about a lot of different things but I'm looking for a step by step "networking for dummies" type explanation.
